How to add an Xtream Codes login on your Mac

To add Xtream Codes to Streamr, open the app, choose Xtream Codes, enter the server, username and password from your provider’s welcome email, and click Connect. It takes about a minute, and pasting a full get.php link fills in all three fields for you.

What do you need?

  • Your Xtream Codes login from your TV provider: server address, username and password
  • A Mac running macOS 15 Sequoia or later
  • Streamr

Don’t have a login? Xtream Codes details come from your TV provider. Streamr doesn’t sell or provide them.

Steps

  1. Download and open Streamr

Download Streamr, open the disk image and drag Streamr into Applications. Open it from Applications. Your 7-day trial starts right away, with no account needed.

  2. Choose Xtream Codes

On the welcome screen, click Get started, then choose Xtream Codes under How do you sign in? Adding a second playlist later? Open Settings (⌘,) › Playlists and click Add playlist….

  3. Enter your server, username and password

Type the Server address from your provider’s welcome email, including http:// or https:// and the port, for example http://provider.example:8080. Then enter your Username and Password. Shortcut: paste a full get.php?username=…&password=… link into Server and Streamr fills in all three fields.

  4. Name it (optional)

Give the playlist a name or keep the suggested one. Under Advanced you can set a custom TV Guide (XMLTV) URL or User agent; leave them empty to use your provider’s guide automatically.

  5. Click Connect

Streamr shows live progress while it loads your channels, movies and series, then an account summary with your subscription status, expiry date and how many connections your provider allows. Your password is saved in the macOS Keychain.

  6. Pick your countries and start watching

Under What do you want to see? Streamr lists the countries and regions it found in your playlist. Click any you don’t watch to hide them, then click Start watching. You can change this anytime in Settings › Content Filters.

Where do I find my Xtream Codes details?

In the welcome or activation email from your TV provider, or in your account on their website. Look for a server or portal URL (often with a port such as :8080), a username and a password. Some providers send a single M3U link instead; if it contains get.php?username=, it already has your Xtream login inside it.

Should I use Xtream Codes or M3U?

Use Xtream Codes when you can. It gives Streamr posters, plots, season lists and catch-up, and it keeps working when a provider blocks M3U downloads. An M3U link works too; see how to add an M3U playlist.

Why won’t my Xtream Codes login connect?

Check the server address first: it needs http:// or https:// and the port if your provider uses one, and no extra path after it. Then check for spaces before or after the username and password. If Streamr says your account is expired or out of connections, contact your provider. If it still fails, see Support.

Where is my password stored?

In the macOS Keychain on your Mac. If you sign in to sync playlists across devices, the password is also stored encrypted on our server and only returned to you.

Can I add more than one provider?

Yes. Open Settings (⌘,) › Playlists and click Add playlist… to add another Xtream Codes login or M3U playlist.

Ready when you are.

Download Streamr, add your login, and your channels are ready in about a minute.
