TV guide

A TV guide (EPG) with catch-up, built for the Mac.

Streamr shows your provider’s electronic programme guide (EPG) as a full grid with pinned channels and a live “now” marker, and plays past programmes on channels that support catch-up. It loads the guide automatically, or from a custom XMLTV URL.

What does the Streamr TV guide show?

A scrollable grid of every channel against time. Channel names stay pinned on the left as you scroll, a pink line marks the current time and keeps moving, and the programme airing now is highlighted.

  • Full EPG grid with pinned channels
  • Live “now” marker that keeps up with you
  • Jump straight into whatever is airing
  • Filters apply: hidden countries and categories stay hidden

How does catch-up work?

On channels where your provider keeps an archive, past programmes in the guide get a ↺ catch-up mark. Select one to play it from the start. Catch-up also appears in the Live TV preview’s schedule. It needs an Xtream Codes login and a provider that offers archives.

Where does the guide data come from?

From your provider. With Xtream Codes, Streamr fetches the guide automatically. For any playlist you can set a custom XMLTV URL instead, in the playlist’s Advanced options or in Settings › TV Guide.

What if programme times are off?

Use the time shift in Settings › TV Guide. If programme times are consistently early or late, shift them by the right number of hours, then update the guide. You can also set how often the guide refreshes, or refresh it now.

Why is my guide empty?

Usually because the provider doesn’t send guide data for those channels, or the XMLTV URL is wrong. Try Update guide now in Settings › TV Guide, then check the URL with your provider. More fixes on the support page.

Streamr doesn’t include channels. It’s a player for the Xtream Codes or M3U playlist you get from your TV provider. It doesn’t sell or provide channels, movies, series or playlists.
