Content filters
Hide what you’ll never watch.
Streamr’s content filters hide whole countries, individual categories and every pay-per-view channel, so the rows, the guide and search show only what you care about. Adult content is hidden by default, with an optional parental PIN.
How does filtering by country work?
Streamr detects the country or region of each channel from its name — prefixes like UK| or US:, codes like AR (Arabic) or EXYU, and language names. Turn a country off and its channels disappear everywhere. Categories whose content comes only from that country switch off with it, and come back when you turn the country back on.
- Pick countries during setup, change them anytime
- Search countries and regions by name
- Show all or hide all in one click
- Applies to Live TV, the guide, Sports and search
Can I hide individual categories?
Yes. In Settings › Content Filters, fine-tune any category on its own, whatever country it belongs to. You can also hide empty categories automatically.
How do I hide pay-per-view channels?
Turn off Pay-per-view in Settings › Content Filters. One switch hides every pay-per-view channel and category; turn it back on to restore them.
Does Streamr have parental controls?
Yes. Streamr detects adult content and hides it. In Settings › Parental Controls, set a 4-digit PIN; once it’s set, the PIN is required to show adult content again.
A channel I want is missing. What do I check?
Check whether its country, category or the pay-per-view switch is turned off in content filters — Streamr labels channels as “Hidden by country filter” or “Hidden with PPV” so you can see why. More fixes on the support page.
Streamr doesn’t include channels. It’s a player for the Xtream Codes or M3U playlist you get from your TV provider. It doesn’t sell or provide channels, movies, series or playlists.
