Live TV

Live TV on your Mac, three panes and zero waiting.

Streamr shows your playlist’s live channels in three panes — categories, channels with now-playing progress, and a live preview with the schedule — so you can browse like you’re flipping channels. The preview expands to full screen without rebuffering.

How do you browse live channels in Streamr?

Pick a category on the left, scroll the channel list in the middle, and the selected channel starts playing in the preview on the right. Each channel shows what’s on now and how far into the programme it is.

  • Categories, channels and a live preview side by side
  • Now-playing title and progress on every channel
  • Tonight’s schedule and catch-up next to the preview
  • Expand the preview to full screen without rebuffering

Why do channel names look cleaner than in other players?

Streamr strips provider decorations such as ᴴᴰ, ᴿᴬᵂ, ◉ or 4K-NF - from names and keeps the useful part as a badge: 4K, HEVC, Dolby and similar. Country prefixes like UK| or US: become filters instead of clutter.

Can I change channels from the keyboard?

Yes. In the player, ↑ and ↓ change channel, typing a number jumps to that channel, and L opens the channel list overlay. Space plays and pauses, and Esc goes back.

Where do my own channel lists show up?

Your My Lists appear in the Live TV sidebar and on For You. Drag a channel from the list onto one of them, or onto New list to start a new one.

Can I hide channels I never watch?

Yes. Content filters hide whole countries, single categories and all pay-per-view channels, and the hidden ones disappear from Live TV, the guide and search.

Streamr doesn’t include channels. It’s a player for the Xtream Codes or M3U playlist you get from your TV provider. It doesn’t sell or provide channels, movies, series or playlists.
